The Regional Trials Network-Victoria is proud to be part of the pioneering Lead with Lived Experience: Enhancing Cancer Care Program, working with so many passionate consumers and colleagues in the Cancer Consumer-Led Research Partnership.
The program brings together 21 diverse participants and 10 mentors, with more than half of participants from regional Victoria, including key members from the Every VoiceCAN consumer network. A great number of regional consumers were amongst over 60 people with lived experienced of cancer at the launch of the program in September 2025.
Delivered through the Cancer Consumer-led Research Partnership, a collaboration between Regional Trials Network – Victoria, VCCC Alliance, Monash Partners Comprehensive Cancer Consortium (MPCCC), Cancer Council Victoria, and University of Melbourne, it was co-designed and co-facilitated by lived experience leaders in collaboration with the Health Consumers Centre and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Funded by the Victorian Government, the program includes in-person and online learning, peer exchange and project placements across the cancer sector. Together, we’re working to improve outcomes for all Victorians affected by cancer by driving meaningful, consumer-led change in the healthcare system.
