ReViTALISE to present at the 2024 COSA ASM

ReViTALISE is excited to be delivering a symposium at the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) at the Gold Coast on Friday, 15 November. Held in November each year, the COSA ASM is one of the most well-attended cancer conferences in Australia.

In recent years, the ASM has featured “delegate-led“ symposiums whereby COSA members bid to present a session. These symposiums are subject to peer-reviewed selection and are considered very competitive. ReViTALISE was successful in being awarded a delegate-led symposium in 2022, setting out our plans for the program. This year, we are proud to be offered the opportunity once again, to share the outcomes documented in our mid-project report.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Bridging gaps, building progress, breaking down disparities”. This aligns with ReViTALISE key objectives around creating equitable access and outcomes for regional rural and remote Victorians, improving models of care for underserved groups, improving research literacy in the regional workforce, establishing new research programs in older patients, and improving regional patients’ access to registry and immunotherapy trials.

Since 2021, ReViTALISE has made considerable progress in building momentum and coming up with solutions to overcome key regional health issues in the cancer sector. Chaired by A/Prof Craig Underhill, the symposium will share our methods, strategies, milestones and progress to date. We look forward to presenting at COSA, and meeting with colleagues and peers.
