A warm welcome to our new Project Officer, Rebecca Kress. Previously at consumer-led not-for-profit organisations such as Ovarian Cancer Australia, Leukemia Foundation, and Counterpart (formerly BreaCan). she has worked with consumers to develop and provide access to high quality information and support for people and families affected by cancer. Inspired by this experience, Bec returned to university to pursue a Master of Public Health.
Bec later undertook roles with government bodies including Barwon SouthWest Regional Integrated Cancer Service (BSWRICS) as Service Development Coordinator, and Barwon Health as Consumer Engagement Manager, where she worked with consumers to improve access to treatment and care for rural and regional patients. After taking some time off work to be with her two young children, she is excited to join the ReVitalise team, returning to an area she’s greatly passionate about.
