Dr Stacey Panozzo has joined the ReViTALISE team as Consumer Liaison Coordinator. With over 12 years of experience in health services research, Stacey’s interests focus on improving access and service delivery of cancer and palliative care for patient groups who experience inequities in health care access.
Prior to this role, Stacey had the privilege of working as a qualitative Research Fellow in palliative care with Prof Jennifer Philip and the Palliative Nexus team. Her time was spent seeking to better understand care provision and identify opportunities for improvement in current care and future service delivery for people in prison across Victoria, and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members impacted by advanced cancer across the state.
Throughout her work, Stacey has worked collaboratively with people who have cancer or life limiting illness, and their carers, seeking to actively embed their voices of lived experience into the design and implementation of research and service delivery.
In her new role, she is looking forward to working together with the consumer representatives of Every VoiceCAN and the State-wide Consumer-led Research Program, to support and amplify the consumer perspective and lived experience in cancer care across Victoria.
